Uwe "De Pfälzer" Willenbacher

I have been an Audio Engineer in the Rock and Roll Industry for many years and joined the I.A.T.S.E. Local 16 in San Francisco in 2003. One evening, on my way to a Union meeting, the foreseeable happened: A car took an illegal left turn in front of me in downtown San Francisco. I had no time to react and found myself in a head-on collision with a car - I lost, and ended up with a broken left Ankle, a Compression fractured Spine (L5) a sprained thumb and a couple of damaged ribs. It took roughly 7 months on disability and I am back on my feet, riding my Beemer.

I am looking forward to this year’s ride not only because it begins and ends in the Bay Area, my current home, but I am able to return something to the "Behind the Scenes" Foundation -- without them I would most likely have lost everything I own, including my house.
