Loren "Grits" Schreiber

Loren has built scenery for 40 years. Highlights of his career include the original sets for the world premiers of Sondheim's "Into the Woods", Neil Simon's "Rumors" and "Jake's Women," the national tour of "Falsettos" and the Broadway revival of "Damn Yankees". Currently Professor of Theatre at San Diego State University, he specializes in scenery automation and consults on automation projects around the world. When he is not backstage, he enjoys flying small planes (upside down when he can) and riding horses (right-side-up, mostly). He is Married to Kate "Cutter Kate" Schreiber, who is also riding this year.
