OK. All of you who had me quitting on Day 3.....you lose too.

We said goodbye to the hospitality of Baton Rouge and got on the road, heading for San Antonio. The day was going great, but we knew we had two hurdles to overcome. Houston & the weather. The rain started in Houston. It wasn't much fun but we all survived in one piece. About 475 miles.

Michael had an interesting time trying to explain and then defend BC/EFA to a trucker on the CB. I think Mike finally convinced the guy.

Made it to San Antonio and the Alamo. Got our pictures taken there. Some little kids got their pictures taken on our bikes and then we were off to the hotel. More rain and the screwiest highways in the western world made the ride to the hotel one of the more harrowing trips of the day.

At the hotel we met up with Alice's dad George. He had come down from Austin to meet up with us. And Chris' parents Bob and Karen were there also. They came down in their 37 foot motor home.We all went to dinner at a wonderful Mexican place. Good food, lots of margaritas and laughs. Many, many thanks to Bob and Karen for hosting the evening AND our hotel rooms.

Today's a big ride. 550 miles to El Paso. West Texas, here we come.
See ya
Bill
