Long Beach Long Riders
Day Two - March 12, 2004

Gassing up. Brother H's gas pump camouflage is particularly effective at this stop.

Serious biker food

Dinner in Steve & Ramona's (Loren's sister & brother in law) unbelievably beautiful house out in the country near Baton Rouge. They made a great dinner (gumbo & beans...good Looooisiana cooking) for all of us.

Steve and Ramona live in this beautiful log house (it ain't no cabin) out in the country. He's a lawyer and she's a school teacher. And, yes, that is a bottle of moonshine they're holding. A gift from Greg.

It was a great night.

Uncle Bill writes:
Made it to Baton Rouge. Weather once again was great. It's really hot here. The outdoor pool at the hotel has people in it.
400 miles today. This is the shortest day of the trip. But we're gelling together as a riding group. It feels good. Yes, I'm really tired, but no reason to not keep going.
Those of you who had day 2 ... you're hosed.
