Day 2 dawned bright and clear. It looks like we've left the rain behind us for a while. The day was all about riding in the country side and enjoying the weather. As the day progressed we all got more comfortable riding together as a group. We're now 14 bikes and a chase car and we make an impressive little parade as we roll through the small towns of upstate New York.

We crossed over the Thousand Islands bridge and into Canada. Customs was no problem at all except they declined the offer of a couple of kazoos.

Lunch was in Brockville. Parking in this pretty little town presented some issues but we prevailed. And we didn't get any parking tickets.

The ride to Ottawa was pleasant enough, if a little slow. We didn't get to the hotel until about 6 or so. Some of us went over to the National Arts Centre where David Ship, Director of Operations, gave us a quick but very interesting tour of the facility. They have very nice facilities. Think Kennedy Center and you get the idea.

Then it was off to Mclarens pub/restaurant/pool hall. We were joined by David Ship, Ron Muise and Scotty from the NAC, Greg's friend Lindsay Cowell and an old friend of mine, Deb Shortt. My apologies to you but I left my camera on the bike during the NAC tour and dinner, so I have no pictures to show you. You'll just have to take my word for it that we had a wonderful time. A fitting end to a great day.

Tomorrow it's back to the States. Destination: Middlebury, VT.
